Can I personalise my order?
Yes, we here at Wedding Cameras Online believe that your day is as special to us as it is to you, and our commitment is to fulfil all your needs wherever we can. If you want to create your own package deal just follow the clear and simple instructions and we will accommodate your needs.
Can you supply a match for my colour scheme?
It’s not always possible to match exactly your colour scheme or stationary requirements in all cases however. Our cameras are all in a neutral silver colour so they will match almost all situations. As for special stationary requirements it may be possible so please contact us with your requirements. In this case extra charges may be involved.
What if a camera gets broken or lost?
This is a question that is always asked and rightly too. However let me take the time to put your mind at rest on this issue.
Unlike some other camera hire companies we do not offer insurance to cover our cameras. You may see others offering insurance at £2.50 or £3.00 per camera this includes an excess on each camera of £50.00 should you need to make a claim, and you may even find that your household insurance will cover such a loss.
Here at Wedding Cameras Online we take a deposit of £100 to cover the cost of breakages or loss and we consider £50.00 to be a reasonable charge for a lost or
unrepairable camera however if the cost of replacement or repair is less than this we will only charge what it cost’s us and return the remainder of your deposit. This will never be more than £50.00 per camera so why charge for insurance?
Having said this we have found that people do handle digital cameras with more care than a disposable one, and in order to help we also tell your guests that the cameras are your responsibility and to please take care of then on our included tabletop cards, and the truth of the matter is simply this… It almost never happens.
As for loss in transit, this is covered by us as soon as they are handed into the care of our postal agent so you need not worry about a thing.
Why not just buy disposable cameras?
We have all been to events were disposable cameras have been placed on tables, they do get used. however the results are not that good. To be honest they are pretty poor, most of the pictures will be wasted while your guest’s get used to using them. The worst part is, you have to pay for processing to find out how poor the results are. This can be quite depressing when you return from a wonderful honeymoon full of expectations only to be disappointed.
On the plus side they are cheap but at 19p to 25p for each print they can work out more expensive in the long run especially if you want to share the pictures with friends and relatives.
Won’t my friends and family have there own cameras?
Of course they will but they will be taking pictures for there own for there own use, when you ask people to take pictures for you they are going to taking more pictures recording the even for you seen through there eyes. Another thing to consider is will they share all there pictures with you? Will they be able to? How long will it take to get copies of all the pictures taken by your guest’s? And will they feel free to take those more interesting candid shots that we all enjoy? By giving your guest’s a camera of yours to use you will have all the pictures for you to decide what to do with.
Why don’t you post my pictures into an online gallery for me?
Some providers of digital and disposable cameras do post pictures to online galleries, however, what you should consider is this. What can I do with these pictures once they are posted and what are the benefits to me and my guest’s?
Most providers who do this will not allow you your friends or family to download any pictures, they are purely for viewing purposes only, they all offer printing services however at an extra cost.
We believe that these are your pictures and you should be able to post them online and your friends should be able to download them if you wish. This is best done by uploading your pictures to a site that YOU own and not us. The best way to do this is to open a free account with Facebook, twitter, Yahoo or any other of your choice, this way you can invite who you like to visit your account and even restrict who will see your pictures you can even allow them to download and print any of the pictures if you wish.
How many cameras will I need?
We would suggest that you place at least one camera on each table, if you wish you could also provide extra cameras for your top table too, even one for each bridesmaid and one for the best man.
It would be a good idea if you are handing out cameras to trusted friends and members of family to do so before the ceremony, this way you will get some wonderful pictures of events leading to the church that even you professional photographer would not get. It really is up to you how you wish to record your special day.
Will my cameras be here on time?
We will ship your order to arrive to you 48 hours before your big day, we do this for a number of reasons firstly to allow you time to unpack them and ensure you don’t need to contact us with any questions you may have (you will be too busy nearer the day for little things like that) This also allows for the unlikely event that should there be a problem in delivering them to you (perhaps you missed our delivery while you popped out for a while) we have time to sort this out for you. But mainly we want you to have them in good time so you have one less thing to worry about.
As a bonus please feel free to use one or two for your hen or stag night, why not it’s on us?
What about sending them back after our event?
Simply get a trusted person to collect the cameras after your event and place them back in the case they came in, please don’t remove the memory cards we will do that for you. Place the case inside the packaging provided with the returns label attached and follow the instructions for returning them
Please remember to return them within two days of your event so that we can process your pictures for you and save any unfortunate charges for late return.
